Ga., June 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --Â Restoration One Capital, LLC, a leading provider of economic impact and economic development financing in the Southeast, has been selected by the City of Savannah as the Fiscal Officer.

 

Brian Pogue will be working with the Savannah City Council to establish and execute the long-term capital improvement plans and the City's economic development initiatives. Mr.Pogue will establish an annual budget, manage departmental budgets and fulfill the requirements of legislative and regulatory mandates to meet the city's fiscal plans.

Mr. Pogue has been working with Savannah's business community for several years, including those from the Coastal Area Development District (CAD), Chamber of Commerce and others. He is also currently serving on the Georgia Sustainable Economic Development Coalition (GSEEDC) and it is Economic Solutions Committee. Mr. Pogue has also spent 15 years working for Enterprise South, Inc. as a Regional Director, Senior Executive for Sustainable Savannah, and Director of the Urban Land Institute's Southeast Economic Development Program.

 

Hostwinds is a nonprofit business development corporation (BDC) and an affiliate of Hostwinds Corporation, a private business that develops, builds, and operates industrial facilities, tourism attractions, housing, and mixed-use developments. Hostwinds is also working with the City of Savannah's Business Impact Team (BIT) to attract new tourism and hospitality projects and implement new economic development strategies.

 

The Hostwinds project in Savannah will create approximately 400 jobs at peak construction in an area of the city where hotels are scarce. "Hostwinds has helped create thousands of local jobs and build critical infrastructure projects across the Southeast. We are thrilled to work with the City of Savannah to bring additional economic development opportunities to this area.  In addition to creating hundreds of local jobs, Hostwinds will provide over $1.5 million in capital investment to the community," Mr. Pogue added.
